Neodymium-doped yttrium aluminum garnet

Material
Nd:YAG

Neodymium doped Yttrium Aluminium Garnets (Nd3+:Y3Al5O12 or Nd:YAG)  are laser crystals that usually emit at a wavelength of 1064 nm. Important advantages of these crystals are: the low laser threshold, high efficiency, high optical quality, high thermal conductivity and chemical and mechanical stability. Nd:YAG is produced using the Czochralski method.

Nd:YAG crystals can be produced with different doping. Furthermore, it is possible to produce laser crystals with concave radii of curvature in order to compensate for thermal lensing effects and thus achieve higher output powers.

(IMPEX HIGHTECH offers Nd:YAG crystals with different doping on customer request. To compensate for thermal lensing effects and thus achieve higher output powers, we also offer laser crystals with concave radii of curvature (resonator mirrors).
